Stuntwoman and Actress Melissa Barker was born on September 6, 1972. She attended Quartz Hill High School in Quartz Hill, California. Before she began working in stunts, she was a pre-school teacher.

Melissa’s first union television experience was performing gymnastic flips and twists without wires on a windy backyard patio banister of a house on a cliff where falling would have landed her 40 feet down the side of a canyon.

Melissa performed as the Pink Ranger for the Power Rangers Galaxy Millennium Tour. She is probably best known as the stunt double for Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and other various shows and movies.

She has also provided stunts for shows such as PassionsCharmedPoint PleasantV.I.P.Supah Ninjas and iCarly.

Her movie credits include the Scooby-Doo movies,  The Island (2005), Surrogates (2009), The Spirit (2008), Alien Raiders (2008), Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005), Eagle Eye (2008) and The Green Hornet (2011). She has also provided motion stunt capture for video games. Melissa Baker was one of the presenters at the 2007 Taurus World Stunt Awards where she presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to her biggest childhood hero, stuntwoman Jeannie Epper aka “Wonder Woman”.

She has also provided motion stunt capture for video games.
